Signing Your Driver

Starting from version 76 of Launcher, it is possible to sign your own driver. This allows you to use whatever name you wish and can be safer than using the default, randomized name. Here are the steps:

  • Run Launcher and click "Sign Driver."
  • Input whatever name you want on the signature. Click OK.
  • Input the timestamp server you want to use and click OK. Common servers are:
    • http://timestamp.digicert.com - this is the one used by default, so you may want to choose a different one.
    • http://timestamp.sectigo.com
    • or just Google search and find one you'd like to use!
  • Input the number of months you'd like the certificate to remain valid. Numbers over 12 are fine (e.g., 36 for 3 years). Click OK.
  • At this point, Launcher will download your driver, sign it, and upload it. The next time you load your driver, you will have the new certificate.
