Speeder can now predict an entity's future position, improving accuracy with slow-moving projectiles.
Accordingly, the following lines have been added to config.txt:
- Line 91) If 1, aiming prediction will be enabled. Aiming prediction measures the speed at which an entity is moving and adjusts the crosshair “ahead” of the entity such that projectiles can hit a moving entity.
- Line 92) Aiming prediction multiplier. This basically controls how far to move the crosshair when predicting an entity’s movement. For slower projectiles, you want a higher multiplier. 5 is a good starting point.
- You can include multipliers for individual weapons. This is done by using the “|” character and ordering the multipliers as follows:
- SWORD|HATCHET|GREAT AXE|GREAT SWORD|SPEAR|WARHAMMER|RAPIER|MUSKET|BOW|VOID GAUNTLET|ICE GAUNTLET|FIRE STAFF|LIFE STAFF|BLUNDERBUSS|FLAIL.
- Line 93) How many milliseconds to wait between each calculation of an entity’s speed. 200 is a good starting point. Too low can actually be less accurate since you are giving Speeder less time to calculate an average speed.
The correct ID for being unarmed (i.e., no weapon equipped) is 0 and not 32. The guide has been corrected to reflect this. Also, macros without a specified weapon ID will work without a weapon equipped.
These changes require updating Speeder to version 122.
