Speeder can now lock you onto your current or previous target. The following settings and keybinds have been added to config.txt:
- 68) The virtual key code of the key you'd like to toggle aiming assist on/off. If ON, you will lock on to your current target. If you are not targeting anything, you will lock on to your previous target. See lines 70 & 71.
- 69) The virtual key codes of the keys you'd like to enable aiming assist while pressed. Separate each key with the "|" character, such as 1|2|3|4. While any of these keys are held down, you will lock on to your current or previous target. See lines 70 & 71.
- 70) X-correction for lines 68 & 69. Due to the crosshair being slightly off-center in New World, use this setting to adjust where the crosshair lands (left/right) when using aiming assist. 1.75 works pretty well.
- 71) Y-correction for lines 68 & 69. Due to the crosshair being slightly off-center in New World, use this setting to adjust where the crosshair lands (up/down) when using aiming assist. -1.5 works pretty well.
These keybinds can be used in conjunction with everything else, so, for example, if you set line 53 to 1 and set line 69 to 1, you will lock onto your current target and swing your weapon very quickly whenever left click is held down. For security reasons, I do not want to go into full detail regarding how this works, but it does not virtualize any input, so it should be pretty safe.
I have tested it after verifying Steam files and on a separate PC, so the addresses should be pretty stable.
This requires updating Speeder to version 29.
