New World Greatly Improved Ranged Targeting & New "tcp" Command

The math for the X and Y crosshair correction settings (lines 70 and 71) has been perfected in the sense that, regardless of the distance to the entity, the crosshair will always aim in the same exact spot relative to the entity. This also improves the accuracy of aim prediction and the overall accuracy of ranged weapons.

If you are not using aim prediction, I recommend setting line 70 to -0.5 and line 71 to -0.25. If you are using aim prediction, I recommend setting line 70 to -0.25 and line 71 to -0.25. I have updated the default config file with these values.

An issue where aim prediction could swing the camera around when trying to predict movement has been fixed.

The following new macro/waymark commands have been added:

  • “tcp[distance],[angle difference]” — Same as “tce” but only targets players (i.e., not mobs).
  • “tcp*[distance],[angle difference]” — Same as “tcp” but will remain locked on the specified player until “lt-” is called.

I know distinguishing between enemy and ally players is something people want. I will add it when I can.

These changes require updating Speeder to version 129.
